今天是5月18日。向大家介紹5/23 ＃世界龜鱉日 (world Turtle Day) 。這是2000年起發起的節日，立意在保護龜鱉類動物，呼籲人們減少使用塑膠製品，不任意傾倒、丟棄垃圾，破壞這些動物的棲息之地。
其中海龜特別有意思，才剛孵化就本能地奔向大海，之後不斷游動尋找庇護所，再利用地球磁場與洋流，在海上隨波逐流飄向各大洋覓食，這段成長歲月被稱為「迷失歲月」(Lost years)，有時長達數十年，期間必須躲避海鳥、大型魚類、鯊魚等天敵的捕食，也極易誤食海面上的塑膠垃圾（如塑膠袋），也有遭廢棄漁網纏繞致死的，僅只有大約千分之一的幼龜能成功長大。然後會有某一天，這些長大的海龜開始迴游(Natal Homing )，非常精準的就回到出生的那一片沙灘，產出下一代，好像內建有導航系統似地，相當厲害；近年由於氣候變遷導致沙灘溫度升高，海龜孵化出來的性別嚴重失衡，生存面臨極大挑戰。歡迎收聽Bravo FM91.3【愛的故事】—世界龜鱉日特輯。
