來到今年8月的最後一日。幾天之後9月5日是聯合國所定的 ＃國際慈善日（ International Day of Charity） ，這是諾貝爾和平獎得主德蕾莎修女（Mother Teresa）的辭世紀念日，全球在這天懷想這一生奉獻給孤寡貧病，心懷無私、善良和愛的偉大靈魂。
歡迎收聽今晚8點Bravo FM91.3【愛的故事】—國際慈善日特輯 ，我將帶大家沿著全球公益歌曲的歷史回望，也同步紀念德雷莎修女的善行。英國的Do They Know It's Christmas? 這首歌，應該是流行音樂界集結樂壇歌手，運用巨星知名度和力量凝聚話題，並將唱片收益整個挹注給公益用途的最開始，這首歌曲是為非洲衣索比亞饑荒募款而寫。接著出現的是1985 年美國為非洲人道救援製作的We Are the World、1998 年德國為心理情緒創傷的醫療募款歌曲Let the Music Heal Your Soul 、2001 美國為愛滋病防治工作募款的What's Going On 、2003年 Michael Jackson 邀請朋友們一同為911恐怖攻擊救援工作及罹難家屬募款的What More Can I Give 、2008 年美國為癌症醫療研究的募款歌曲JUST STAND UP! ，然後是為2010年海地大地震募款的公益歌曲：Everybody Hurts （英國）和Waving Flag (加拿大)。我們在欣賞這些音樂的同時，可以看見人們對苦難的同理和關心。
